Dr Maggie Weir-Wilson: Horsham Author & Writer
Hello and welcome to my website.
A Horsham-based writer, my aim is to share with you my passion for all things ‘writing’.
So far, I have self-published two non-fiction books about the local area – you can find links to those below.
I also love writing poems and have recently dabbled in a little ‘creative writing’.
Feel free to have a browse of this site and a read through some of my latest blog posts.
If you’d like to get in touch, just fill in the contact form. It would be lovely to hear from you.
Thank you for your interest and happy writing!

Secret Horsham
My first published book came about as a bit of a surprise. I had been touting my forest book around publishers but no one was interested, it was considered not commercial enough. Then Amberley Publishing suggested I produce a book about Horsham in their Secret Towns series.
Growing Together, Horsham’s Town Allotments
I began writing “Growing Together, Horsham’s Town Allotments’ in the middle of the pandemic and lockdown in 2021.
Allotments were a good place to go at this time; out in the open air, shouting ‘hello’ to other plot holders, and growing good organic local food.
